気 is an album for Solo piano that was inspired by a combination of Romantic and Impressionist era piano music, such as that of Chopin's Noctures and Debussy's Suite Bergamasque, and contemporary Japanese music like that found in the Studio Ghibli movies. This came out of Lock's years spent travelling in East Asia and learning to speak Japanese. Dreamy, story-like song structures combine with emotive melodies and a profound, spiritual tone to give a strong impression that one is going on a journey when listening to the tracks in sequence.
